Off-grid power are, in principle, energy storage systems, and in detail, lithium-ion batteries. Due to different cathode materials, lithium ion batteries are mainly divided into: lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4), lithium nickel oxide (LiNiO2), lithium manganese oxide (LiMn2O4), lithium cobalt oxide (LiCoO2), and ternary lithium nickel cobalt manganese oxide (LiNiMnCoO2), nickel cobalt aluminate ternary lithium (LiNiCoAlO2), the anode material is mainly graphite carbon material.

Classified according to the application scenarios of the lithium-ion battery, it can be divided into:

3C lithium battery: This type of battery requires high energy density, generally lithium cobalt oxide (LCO), suitable for mobile phones, laptop computers, power tools, and electric toys.

Power lithium batteries: The main standards of materials are high energy density and good safety. Electric bicycles and electric vehicles mainly use lithium iron phosphate batteries and ternary lithium batteries.

Energy storage type lithium battery: mostly use the high safety lithium iron phosphate battery, which is much lower than the ternary lithium battery in energy density.

What is portable power station?

A portable power station is an energy storage generator used to convert electricity charge from the public grid or solar energy into electrical energy and store it in an internal battery. The purpose is to transfer the stored charge to your various devices. This is similar to the power bank used to charge mobile phones daily. But the portable power station is to move the home’s electrical system to the outdoors or somewhere, so that you can use it for high-power electrical appliances at any time without worrying about the high electrical loads.

How does the portable power station work?

Portable power stations can be charged in a variety of ways, including using a solar panel, a standard electrical outlet, or even with a gas-powered inverter generator. You simply charge them, from a regular wall outlet, from a car’s cigarette lighter, or from a portable solar panel. They store electricity and keep it for several months until you use it.
